I think it's tied for third on the "LSW Refuge" list, with, sigh, Twitter a strong first. But I check at least daily. - waltcrawford - - (Edit | Remove)

Sure you do! Patron wants a diagram of the distributor cap that shows the firing order of the Vovlo Penta AQ 125/130 engine from a 1984 Bayliner Cuddy Caprice. Thus far, have not yet found such a diagram in a manual, Google Patents or on the Volvo Penta website. - mehlib - - (Edit | Remove)

Did I already tell you all about Umbra Search from the Givens Collection at UMN Libraries? It is a big digital collection on African American history & culture. You, too, can sign up to be a beta tester! https://www.lib.umn.edu/a...

Walt, I just want to let you know that one of my colleagues is your biggest fan. He emails us info about resources he has read about in Cites & Insights all the time, today with the intro "Some of you may know that I’m a big fan of the Current Cites newsletter, which reviews recent LIS literature."
10 years ago - Comment - Hide - - - (Edit | Remove) - More...
mehlib: Sounds like he's talking about Current Cites, Roy Tennant's monthly e-newsletter (he's the editor and has several reviewers), which does exactly that: reviews recent LIS literature. Cites & Insights is an entirely different animal. Thanks anyway! - waltcrawford - - (Edit | Remove)

Anyone know an easy way to create hanging indents for references in Google Docs? They only way I can find is to move the markers in the ruler. I'd much rather do it with keyboard commands if possible.

I don't know of a way to do it with keyboard commands in Word, so i'd be surprised if you could in GDocs - librarychic - - (Edit | Remove)

Pratt Library in Baltimore is open today during school closures. They are asking for donations to support them at http://ow.ly/2bsGnY. Perhaps this is something the LSW can get behind?

i would vote for henry mensch as a councillor-at-large, as well as rochelle (who is so awesome i don't think it needs explained to this group). besides being a lsw member he is one of my favorite people from my cohort. and in far less selfish terms, he is smart, dedicated, creative, and hella experienced in IT before bringing his passion for helping to the library world. as a plus for YOU, mehlib, he has a biomedical background :D. - Marianne - - (Edit | Remove)

I just now got in...every time I tried to sign up previously, the site was down. The discourse forums seem like more work to stay caught up in, but if most people are there... It's very bad for my time management attempts to be looking in more than one place for LSW! - fitzm - - (Edit | Remove)

Go to the "Preferences" dropdown on the top left in the black nav bar and select "Preferences." On the page that opens, look on the "Personal Info" tab for the box labelled "Avatar url:" where you'll need to put in an address where you have some image saved. If you're on Twitter, you might be able to right mouse click to get the image URL and then use that here on Fren.it. - Stephen Francoeur - - (Edit | Remove)
