I grew up listening to this guy talk about sports on the news in Dallas. It's hard to convey how profoundly moving these words are.

Stuck on Amtrak train, engine is dead. Can't transfer us to the train behind us, now pulled up next to us, "because the rails are too close together". They're calling Metro North (commuter train) for help.
Ooof. I've had that day, though it was because of flooding, not actual mechanical problems with the train. So frustrating.

I would say Undercover Boss. In the other one, people participate knowing they're participating. In Undercover Boss, they don't really know until it's too late.

What is one's recourse if one would like a second/higher opinion than that provided at the Genius Bar? My dad's MacBook Pro has crapped out 5 times in the past 2 years, each time requiring them to reformat the hard drive and reinstall the OS (which only buys a few months). Obviously(?) they should give him a new hard drive (or dammit, a refurbished replacement) while he's still under Applecare, but he is too nice to demand this. I am frustrated.
Fifth time's the charm! They replaced the motherboard, the hard drive, and the "assy front flex" lol. Thank you, thank you, Applecare gods.

How formal/what type? There's a lot of good stuff on YouTube, but it is easier to narrow it down if you know roughly the kind you're aiming for (French twist, bun, braid, etc.) and how much/long the hair is. I really like this one: https://www.youtube.com/w... even though I'm not likely to ever have enough hair.

Oh, cool. That makes sense. I was thinking it was something like, "if you're on THIS side of the line the hurricane will hit you, but if you're on THAT side you're safe" which would be ridiculous. Glad to hear the slope is working in your favor!

Today, these Spanish tourists complained to me that the subway signs are "all wrong". They wanted them to say whether the train went North, South, East, West. I have never seen that before (even in Spain), has anyone else?
I've seen northbound/southbound or eastbound/westbound for longer-distance train routes, but for things like the subway, I've usually seen them marked with the train letter/number & final destination.

No, nothing here runs N/E/S/W definitively. It was a puzzling remark. I said, "Well, the system is 100 years old...?" instead of saying, "Well, it's the same in Boston, DC, Madrid, Helsinki, Montreal, and maybe Rome."
