I was eating the shit out of shakshuka over the winter and then just inexplicably stopped. Now that I have a plethora of eggs and fresh tomatoes, I need to get on this again. I found it worked out SUPER well to make on-the-fly in my portable lunch Crock Pot. :D - Hookuh Tinypants - -

at the 5K for the local humane society i was wandering the booths and came upon the emergency vet where we took Nessa at the end. started to go up and say something to thank them again for being so kind and good to us (and her), but got all choked up and couldn't. stupid suckerpunch feelings.

I actually feel like I accomplished stuff this weekend: car load of styrofoam to the recyclers, car load of donations to the Goodwill (2+ garbage bags of clothes and 4-5 boxes/bags of misc crap), visited the cherry trees and took pics, 4 loads of laundry, now making dinner, lemon cheesecake cookies, and rhubarb curd. WHEW.
