"Having already played one DC Comics superhero powerhouse to mixed reviews, actor Brandon Routh can now add a new role to his four-colored resume: The Atom. According to TVLine, Routh will play scientist Ray Palmer, who doubles as the shrinking superhero The Atom, on The CW series Arrow. Palmer will find his life intersecting with Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) as the new owner of Queen Consolidated, as well as a possible love interest to Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards). Palmer will take special interest in the company’s applied sciences division, which might very well be connected to his double life of derring-do. With these many connections to the Arrow universe, don’t expect Palmer to be a shrinking violet. (Any of these puns doing anything for you?)"

Wow. What did they do to the FourSquare app? I got a notification that someone was nearby and when I launched the app, it looked completely different and was asking me about tastes and whatnot. I simply cannot find where it notified me that someone was nearby.
Yeah, I just deleted it at this point. I have their "Swarm" app to check in, and that seems pared down and slightly more useful, but I find the whole split just bizarre.

i actually like Swarm a lot. I really only used Foursquare for checkins, and they really made nice improvements with Swarm.

The problem with surprise parties is that the guest of honor often makes plans that may get in the way off celebration planning. There's a surprise dinner for wife's friend that were supposed to bring an item for. Except we need time to make it and she invited the wife over for a random activity.

AAARGH! I left my tablet at home which has a copy of the new Doctor Who on it (and the pre/post shows as well). I was going to watch on my break since I was crashed out when it was on last night. Now I have to decide if I want to avoid any mention of the show or just deal with knowing things before I watch it. Eh, we'll just see how it goes. :P

If you send me an email with this (Help Desk Analyst is required in Quqntico, VA // 3+ months Durtion) as the subject, I will be marking your terrible recruiting pitch as spam.
When I lived in Falls Church, I knew two sisters who commuted from Quantico to work at the fast food place where I worked.

"If you have a partner or are close to someone who struggles with depression, you may not always know how to show them you love them. One day they may seem fine, and the next they are sad, distant and may push you away. It is important that you know that as a person who is close to them and trusted by them, you can help your friend or partner have shorter, less severe bouts of depression. Mental illness is as real as physical illness (it is physical actually, read more about that here) and your partner needs you as much as they would need to be cared for if they had the flu. Your relationship may seem one-sided during these times, but by helping your partner through a very difficult and painful affliction, you are strengthening your relationship and their mental health in the long term."

this is a good list of helping someone with depression and I know its things that I've struggled with as well. Even though it says partner (mostly) its a good list if someone you know is struggling. The 10 things to do to beat the blues they link to is is nice, but you kinda need someone else to push you towards doing them when battling depression

Doctor Who's Jenna-Louise Coleman quits role as Time Lord's assistant and will leave at Christmas - Mirror Online - http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv...
"Doctor Who’s companion Jenna-Louise Coleman is set to leave the hit BBC show.
The actress, 28, is believed to be quitting her role as the Time Lord’s assistant in a sensational Christmas storyline.
Her exit could bring an end to her 18 months as Clara Oswald, creating a vacancy for another sidekick to star alongside new Doctor Who, Peter Capaldi."

Personally I don't think the series is going to survive beyond Capaldi. My guess is he will be the last regeneration for awhile.

How do you order your tabs? I'm Left to Right: Gmail, Friendfeed, TweetDeck, Google+, Facebook, LinkedIn with misc as needed after that.
Nope. White Skunk. And can you believe it actually ambled right under my car? Needless to say, I waited until I was sure it was on its way before opening the door. :)

Rock Creek in DC (under Duke Ellington bridge on the way to Adams Morgan) looks a little unhappy from the earlier rains in the area.
