sigh. nifty internal service we built to help people lend their personal books used amazon api... legal won't sign off on an associate code so now we're struggling for another api. worldcat is ok, but no cover images... also requires rewrite (no time no budget)

is anyone else finding that sciencedirect is hanging up on them? It won't let me scroll down or up.. but if I switch to another tab/site there are no issues

It's working just fine for me in Chrome on a Mac. IE9 has caused issues with some stuff, notably Web of Knowledge, but I haven't heard any rumblings about Science Direct freaking out. - Christina Pikas - - (Edit | Remove)

@RepoRateramous I will indeed, when I run into him at our poster :) Jonathan Carlson did a great job this summer with the DataONE internship. Extracted a *lot* of data very systematically and independently. - Christina Pikas - - (Edit | Remove)

anyone having trouble with RSS feeds from ScienceDirect - can you confirm that you're only seeing this in Google Reader?
1 decade ago from Friendfeed - Comment - Hide - - - (Edit | Remove) - More...
I only use G-Reader so no idea whether it's happening elsewhere, but yes, keep getting content from journals other than what are actually subscribed to. Elsevier has responded on Twitter, saying they're working on it, but that was Sept. 30. - Christina Pikas - - (Edit | Remove)

besides DOAP and "project vocabulary" anyone know any standards for describing projects like for exchanging research project information? I looked at PMI stuff.. . European or other standard would be fabulous. I do know that each US gov't agency uses their own description of funded projects. Thanks!
