I thought that meant you were having cake for breakfast-dessert, and could not understand the unsmiley. Then I remembered you were making the cake, not eating it! Hope it all went well. - Christina Pikas - - (Edit | Remove)

I can't tell you how happy I am that this is the kind of cake he likes for his birthday. It's easy and, after all of the other baking I do this time of year, easy is good. And, regardless of the pan shape, they always look festive. - Christina Pikas - - (Edit | Remove)

seriously annoyed (perhaps unreasonably) - I've provided a group here with the link to the f/t of a springer book like 50 times, i've purchased the "mycopy" for my own use and encouraged others to do the same... now someone in the group has come up with what appears to be a pirated copy and posted that for the group... (as i yell take it down!)
1 decade ago from Friendfeed - Comment - Hide - - - (Edit | Remove) - More...
Steve, that reminds me of one of the reasons piracy is good - often it's easier to use and more user friendly than the legal options. Not always, but until the publishers (any type of media) make the barrier of use negligible, people will pirate who might otherwise be happy to pay and be legal. - Christina Pikas - - (Edit | Remove)
Yeah, I wish more publishers adopted the Springer model. Though of course, then people want the whole thing in one go. Basically, people (consumers) are lazy and want it their way right now. - Christina Pikas - - (Edit | Remove)

sigh ... all of the customer DIY/self-help tools moved off our home page and buried to emphasize our services... now long time users revolting over not being able to find catalog, citation linker, and database links... but no we're not considering changing.
