I find it very frustrating that we still have Springer titles in the catalog from the pda collection that we already have directly from springer. I don't know how many times I've been assured that they suppressed our holdings. This particular title is also available free on the web. Sigh. I had pda.

just remembered mpow is doing something weird with holidays this year. the lab is closed for a half day Christmas and New Year's Eve and then closed on the days, but open the days after. Kind of a bummer.

sad and frustrated - and unreasonably so - a series of classes I run at MPOW just had the teacher pull out of teaching 2 days before the class and an hour after I'd e-mailed a reminder to a large list of past class attendees. She's got some family health issues now and it's very understandable but now we won't have a class this month

the set of 3 teachers collaborating on december's class 1 is leaving the lab, 1 said it's not the right time to teach that class anymore so now I'm stuck coming up with a class for next month. Nobody's volunteering... "oh, I'm busy" - Christina Pikas - - (Edit | Remove)

doing some research for someone who's looking at schools/programs from which to possibly recruit new hires... amazing the schools that advertise degrees while making it impossible to see what courses are taken or really any detail about what graduates will know.

Well that wasn't fun. Dog was a pita our short little walk so i basically yanked/dragged 95# of rottie mix having a bad day while taking the stroller across streets populated with people taking in cell phones driving 40 in a 25. Babies pulled a lamp down and broke a cfl. Girl has massive diaper rash and is screaming from constipation. During this
