And so it has started... now all publishers will post how their impact factors have gone up. Yeah, we know.

Thoughts about cloth pull/ups? Thoughts about used? Daycare doesn't allow so it would be for evenings and weekends. Also- how many? Boys different from girls?
1 decade ago from Friendfeed - Comment - Hide - - - (Edit | Remove) - More...
My thoughts on cloth (which I'm doing) are -they are excellent for toilet learning. The wetness gives the kid a signal and it's not comfy. Prompting the kid to change pants which he then begins to notice "hey when I feel that feeling then do that other thing I get wet, I don't like being wet." It's all passive learning, which to me seems like the path of least resistance. No power struggle. No endless talks/explanations. No watching the clock. Just the awareness of wet and how'd I get that way and how can I stop feeling wet. Paper diapers eradicate that process. - Christina Pikas - - (Edit | Remove)

We're doing cloth, but i only have experience with an infant, so I can't speak to anything bigger... but, having tried a dozen varieties, diapers are diapers. Really. And used is awesome. :) - Christina Pikas - - (Edit | Remove)

Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics put out a memo July 9 about the public access policy, but it essentially says: you will comply by sending stuff to DTIC, enforcement details coming soon
1 decade ago from Friendfeed - Comment - Hide - - - (Edit | Remove) - More...
sounds like DoD is also going with the NIH model, putting things in DTIC, instead of standing up some new system. Makes sense to me. DTIC has been cut to the bone, however, so I don't know how they will manage this greater influx of new stuff - Christina Pikas - - (Edit | Remove)
