Mi chiedevo una cosa per quel che riguarda il server over-capacity, non vuole essere polemica né sarcasmo, ma sinceramente una domanda da profano ignorante: è possibile concepire un piccolo programmino da scaricare sul lato utente da usare in modo facoltativo per aiutare il server donando risorse ogni qual volta detto programmino sia attivo? [eng] About the server over capacity thing: this want to be an honest question, from an igorant point of view. Is it possible to think and develop a tool downloadable by users to run on their private machines in order to help servers by giving/donating resources while said tool is running? When expanding the comments, some comments disappear: they maybe have been removed by the author, but the preview is still there when collapsed. "Awanagana wazz amerigan boy..." is gibberish, doesn't actually mean anything. During the eighties, the period in which I mostly grew up, Italy was fascinated by American culture. Every single thing was tagged American to look cool, commercials often used gibberish English in jingles and slogan to appeal to youth. Tv shows had EngRish theme songs. [Edit] https://www.youtube.com/w... Using a notorious quote from the movie "Un americano a Roma" we somehow started mocking this habit.

[EDIT] More recently the odd English spoken by Italian politicians having speeches for communitarian events in Europe, or during travels in the U.S. was mocked as well with some gibberish sounds resembling Alberto Sordi's spoken english. - As mentioned before there is a strong rivalry between people from Rome and people from Milan: some kind of people in Milan area, especially yuppies or people working in Marketing, often use english words inside italian conversations to look cool, to make an impression. There is a joke about an entrepreneur in Milan trying to open a new "Salumeria" (a Delicatessen selling salami and ham) but asking a term loan for a "Start-up in the business area of luxury Salami and Jabon sliced". In this context, and in FF, "Awanagana" is used to mock this kind of people behavior and attitude, but also odd English construct of people pretending to know the English language. - bezdomnyj82 - -

[My unsolicited humble opinion] As concept for future versions of frenf.it, I think the idea of a place to "share links" (partially showing content from said links) would be fine for me. What I'm saying is, if the possibility of uploading content over some frenf.it servers was never implemented, it wouldn't represent a problem to me, or a limit, but I rather perceive it as an identifying feature of this very specific service...

I'd like to be able to share audio and documents, but being able to share this kind of contents from external services would be not just fine for me, but optimal: an embedded audio player previewing externally hosted audio content, an easy link to share document via Dropbox, showed as a brief attachment to the post itself, with possibly a preview of the first few pages of the document, displayed at the same way of the theater mode (fading black background and zoom in) in witch linked imaged are showed when clicked. This are features I'd be glad to have, more than having a chance to upload said contents into frenf.it. - bezdomnyj82 - -
