I started driving really early. My parents put me on their laps and let me steer when I was a wee tot and allowed me to take over the driver's seat on farm and forest roads when I was 8 years old. I was driving solo by the time I was 12. By the time I took driver's ed, I was a pro, yet I didn't get my driver's license until I was 21. #SaturdayFF

cool... I learned to drive on a 5 ton flatbed truck, manual, at my dad's airstrip when I was 13. /never/ allowed to drive the roads until I got my permit, though. - Jenny H - -

My parents let me drive around the farm and on the gravel roads around our house starting at 12 or 13, though I didn't go on the paved roads. The day after getting my permit, we set off on a road trip to the northeastern US (and Canada!) and I drove a lot of it. By the time I got my license at 16, it felt like just a formality. - Jenny H - -
