Just finished writing draft of primary essay for June Cites & Insights--mostly "anti-OA" pieces, ending with a few "pro-OA." Geez, that was depressing. Including my sense that independent researchers (on OA or anywhere else) are invisible and should disappear. But stubbornness seems to run in my family.
