How much paid time off do you receive from work every year? If you don't use it all, do you roll it over to the next year or cash it out?
1 decade ago from Friendfeed - Comment - Hide - - - (Edit | Remove) - More...
I get 5 weeks of vacation, 10 holidays (1 floating), and 10 sick days. I would kill for the option to cash it out at the end of each year. However, we're forced to roll vacation over and sick days just reset to 10 each year. We do have a pretty sweet paid LOA program though, so that's nice. And you get another week of vacation for every 5-10 years with the company. - Kristin - - (Edit | Remove)

I get 18 days of annual leave and 12 days of sick leave plus federal holidays. I can accrue additional time off by working extra hours at work. I can roll over up to 240 hours of annual leave each year, but sick leave will reset to 12 days each year. - Kristin - - (Edit | Remove)

Probably the seared tuna at The Red Door in Moscow, ID. Perfect mushroom appetizer, tuna that was seared crisp on the outside and raw on the inside marinated in something heavenly, and topped with flash-fried herbs and greens. Finished off with a chocolate cheesecake that practically floated on the plate. - Kristin - - (Edit | Remove)

The first time I ever had Thai food; ginger chicken, pad thai, beef & chicken satay, even the simple cucumber salad blew off the top of my brain. I'd never had anything like it & still remember how good it was :-) - Kristin - - (Edit | Remove)

Jared Leto Covers Rihanna's 'Stay,' Cements This As Year Of Leto - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013...

"Here's Jared Leto covering Rihanna's "Stay," because sometimes we're allowed to have nice things. Leto becomes the second actor to cover the track this year, following Vin Diesel's epic and random karaoke version. The Thirty Seconds To Mars lead singer is also poised to earn his first career Oscar nomination for his work in the Toronto Film Festival premiere "Dallas Buyers Club," so it's pretty much the best time to be Jordan Catalano." - Kristin - - (Edit | Remove)

Churro Ice Cream Sandwiches -via Neatorama - http://www.neatorama.com/#!ixmJr

"It's hard to improve upon the magnificence of the ice cream sandwich, but chefs in Los Angeles have done just that. At the Churro Borough, you can eat ice cream sandwiches made between pieces of fresh churro: "Imagine this: warm, freshly fried, spiral-shaped churros the size of cookies—but thicker, like a small donut—holding, ever-so-gently, a creamy scoop of caramel peach ice cream. The churro is fluffy yet crisp, with a thick layer of cinnamon sugar clinging to its delicate surface. The ice cream, made from a custard base, leaves nothing to the imagination. It's rich and cool and just what you've been waiting for all week long. Also on the menu are vanilla custard churro sandwiches and a horchata version." - Kristin - - (Edit | Remove)

I just saw a coyote and a opossum within a quarter mile section of the same road in my neighborhood. In 20+ years of living here I've never seen a live coyote ... And only a handful of live opossums.

How many days do I need in San Diego to see most of the good stuff? Trying to bookend some vacation time around an upcoming meeting.
1 decade ago from Friendfeed - Comment - Hide - - - (Edit | Remove) - More...
What's the "good stuff"? If you're talking the amusement parks, then a few days I guess,. Ignoring the zoo, just Balboa Park can take a couple of days. If you're into marine biology, there are tons of things to do. The nature trails all over the place, La Jolla bluffs & Coronado Island are nice hang out places. - Kristin - - (Edit | Remove)
