I've waited a long time to get a dog. Luckily I've been able to get a puppy fix from my parents' dogs the last few years. Ziva was just meant to be. Her mom was at a kill shelter in Houston and was about to be euthanized. A woman went in to adopt her and was told they could only adopt to a rescue because she was pregnant. The rescue went in and the vet at the shelter said she wasn't pregnant. The rescue adopted her and she had 8 puppies the next day. Ziva is the only one that really looks like a golden ... Her brothers and sisters look more like labs. I get a best friend, she gets a loving home, and the adoption fee covers all puppy shots and her spay when she's old enough. It's a real win win. Look at a golden retriever rescue when you're ready for a new family member. :) - Kristin - -

I thought that a day that started with a dog vomiting on one of the few carpeted areas in the my house & followed up with a toilet overflowing dog vomit and water in inches on my floor while the shut off valve refused to budge meant that the day could only get better. Silly girl.
