The first time I had Indian food was in Victoria, BC. I tried to find the place today with no idea of the name, but just a general sense of the area & a vague memory of how it looked. No luck. I'll just thank the city of Victoria for introducing me to saag paneer, raita, naan, butter chicken, lamb korma and so many other delicious noms. #SaturdayFF

In the last three days, I've met people from Canada (duh), England, Wales, France, Italy, Holland/Netherlands, Denmark, and lots and lots of families from Germany. Zee Germanz love Vancouver Island, but think it needs to implement the autobahn. I agree .. 60 km/h across the island is too slow, but the drive itself is awesome!

I'm spending my last night in stunning Ucluelet, BC, doing payroll and billing from the cabin's bathtub via volatile wifi. Luckily I've missed two ridiculous texts and one phone call because I'm basically off the grid except when I get back to the cabin. I can't decide if I want to fire everyone or just quit.
That's because it's from my iphone! I'll have actual photos when I get back home next week. Someone forgot to pack their camera/computer cable. Ooops!

No bears today, but a raincheck for tomorrow morning. There were sightings in the harbor after we left and a mother and cubs on a beach while we were out. C'mon, bears!

I saw black bears in Alaska, but not nearly this close and I didn't have a great camera. These were close; it was amazing.

Buses in Vancouver don't scroll "Out of Service" ... they scroll "Sorry, Out of Service." But, I let several drivers in front of me in traffic and only one gave me the wave. Now I'm torn on the whole Canadians-are-super-nice. Further studies will be conducted over the next few days ... #nerd
I've noticed a steady decline in "the wave" over the last several years. [Is also sorry} >>

Although the airport is nice i do hope you get outside it to at least as far as the remote rental car garage then your mind will be totally blown.
